Cheese Nastar Recipe

Besides classic nastar, cheese nastar recipe is also the right choice. The dough is mixed with edam cheese and cheddar cheese to become a sprinkling of nastar. Hmm, guaranteed delicious!

Pineapple jam:

  • 150 gr pineapple, grated
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 2 cm cinnamon

Cake ingredients:

  • 150 gr margarine
  • 50 gr butter
  • 2 chicken egg yolks
  • 1 chicken egg white
  • 275 gr flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 100 gr edam cheese, grated

Smear material:

2 chicken egg yolks, beaten


100 gr grated Cheddar cheese

How to make delicious nastar:

  • Pineapple jam: cook all the ingredients over low heat until thick and slightly brown in color. lift, chill.
    • Shape the dough into small dots. Set aside.
    • Cake: Beat margarine and butter until soft.
    • Enter the eggs one by one while beating until blended.
    • Add the flour, vanilla and Edam cheese. Mix well. Let stand for 30 minutes.
    • Take 1 tablespoon of cake batter, flatten. Fill them with pineapple jam circles, forming back into balls. Do also for with the rest of the dough.
    • Put on a flat baking sheet that is polished with margarine. Brush the surface with beaten egg.

·         Use medium protein flour. The flour must also be steamed first. Cornstarch is also used for nastar results that are soft and not easily broken.
